The PTLS OffRail system assists the operator in establishing a safe work area through limiting the machines slew-, and height-movement by using specially developed proportional valves. The movement-limits can be programmed by the operator, without prior knowledge, from within the cabin via 3 buttons.

Operating in hazardous areas

Excavation- and crane work in hazardous areas, like during construction work on railways or near power plants, make a height- and slew-limitation-system necessary. To ensure the safety of personnel, machinery and vehicles, the implementation of movement limitation is generally enforced by railway- and power plant-companies.

Fully digital

In accord with current railway regulations, PTLS OffRail operates fully electronical. Due to its development in cooperation with various railroad-companies the system offers the highest level of operation-safety available on the market. This is just one of the reasons why many railway-companies (i.e. ÖBB, DB, SBB, SNCF) exclusively employ PTLS systems on their railway networks.

Quick installation

Installation of the system is very quick and programming takes places comfortably from within the cab with the touch of only 3 buttons.

Proportional shut off

The 4 proportional valves are shut off gently – no matter how fast the slew- or height-movement is being executed. The gentle braking process protects the machines components and ensures that the excavated material remains in the excavator’s bucket.
